I started my professional career as an electrical engineer, drawn to problem solving and figuring out how things worked.
But over time, I realised the career wasn’t what I hoped it would be.
So naturally, I did what any rational person would do…
I started a completely unrelated business teaching breakdancing.
And got absolutely steamrolled.
Turns out, passion alone doesn’t pay the bills.
Looking back, my lack of financial knowledge wasn’t just a weak spot… it was the reason I kept making the same mistakes in bigger and more expensive ways.
I didn’t track cash flow.
I didn’t price properly.
I didn’t understand tax or debt.
I wasn’t running a business, I was riding a runaway train, hoping it would all work itself out.
After 8 long years, I finally shut it down, but that experience lit a fire under me.
I never wanted to be in that position again of being stressed, uncertain, and completely out of control with money.
So I became obsessed with fixing it.
Over the next 12 months I got my own finances in order, completed my Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, and married the woman who had stood by me through all of it.
Since then, I’ve spent several years working in financial services and realised:

To cut through the noise.
